Zydus Wellness Limited (ZWPL), a wholly owned subsidiary, has received ad-interim relief from the Hon'ble Gujarat High Court concerning a GST demand of ₹56.33 crores along with applicable interest and penalty. This relief was granted on January 9, 2026, following a writ petition filed by ZWPL challenging an Order-in-Original (OIO) dated September 30, 2025, issued by The Directorate General of Goods and Services Tax Intelligence (DGGI).

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) demand pertains to the pre-acquisition period prior to January 30, 2019. ZWPL had previously been intimated about the Show Cause Notice (SCN) and the OIO from the DGGI. Importantly, the liability for this period is fully indemnified by Heinz Italia S.P.A., mitigating the financial risk to ZWPL. The High Court's order restrains further proceedings related to the said OIO.
