Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) has reported its standalone unaudited financial results for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2025. The company posted a profit of ₹1,116 crore for the quarter, a decrease from ₹1,260 crore in the same period last year. For the nine months ended December 31, 2025, the profit stood at ₹3,014 crore, down from ₹5,458 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. The company's revenue from operations for the quarter was ₹21,486 crore, an increase from ₹18,365 crore in the third quarter of FY25. Total income for the quarter rose to ₹21,607 crore from ₹18,622 crore. ZEEL's financial results are accompanied by a detailed auditor's report highlighting several ongoing legal and regulatory matters. These include an investigation by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) concerning certain vendor transactions and an inspection by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The company also faces a show cause notice from SEBI regarding alleged lien on a property and another SCN for violations related to inter-corporate deposits. The management, based on legal assessment, does not anticipate any material adverse impact from these matters. Furthermore, ZEEL is involved in a significant dispute with Jiostar India Private Limited regarding broadcasting rights for ICC events. Jiostar has claimed damages of USD 1,003 million, while ZEEL has filed a counterclaim of USD 8.06 million. The company maintains that Jiostar's claims are unfounded and legally untenable. Other disclosures include the incorporation of a wholly-owned subsidiary, ZI-IPR Enterprises Limited, and the conversion of investment in Optionally Convertible Debentures of Zee Studios Limited. The company also addressed a dispute with RIICO regarding a leased plot of land for a film studio and mentioned the impact of the newly notified Labour Codes, stating it is not material to the current financial results.
