Vikran Engineering Limited (VEL) has accepted Letters of Award (LOAs) from M.P. Urja Vikas Nigam Limited for the implementation of grid-connected Solar PV based power plants with a total capacity of 45.75 MW AC in Vidisha district, Madhya Pradesh. These projects will be developed under the Surya Mitra Krishi Feeders Scheme, focusing on feeder solarisation as part of the PM KUSUM-C scheme. The generated power will be sold to Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL). As a Renewable Power Generator (RPG), Vikran Engineering will implement these solar power plants, which will have a power purchase tenure of 25 years. The tariffs for the power sold are specified to range between ₹2.75 per kWh and ₹2.80 per kWh. The company confirmed that these contracts were awarded by a domestic government entity and do not constitute related party transactions. This development is expected to strengthen Vikran Engineering's position in decentralized and utility-scale solar projects, particularly those contributing to agricultural feeder solarisation and renewable energy integration.
