Venus Remedies Limited has successfully renewed its in-house Research & Development recognition from the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India, for its R&D unit, Venus Medicine Research Centre (VMRC). This renewal signifies that VMRC continues to meet the stringent criteria set by DSIR, which include operating a dedicated R&D unit with clear research objectives, employing qualified scientific personnel, and maintaining separately accounted R&D expenditure. The recognition underscores VMRC's ongoing commitment to combating antimicrobial resistance. It supports critical projects such as the development of VRP-034, a novel polymyxin formulation that has received USFDA Qualified Infectious Disease Product (QIDP) designation, and the GASAR resistance surveillance study.
