Venus Remedies Limited has announced that it has received marketing authorization in Indonesia for its antibiotic combination, Ceftazidime + Avibactam. This approval was granted by the relevant Indonesian drug regulatory authority.

This marks the first marketing authorization for Ceftazidime + Avibactam for Venus Remedies in Indonesia. The antibiotic is indicated for treating serious infections caused by multi-drug resistant gram-negative pathogens, including complicated intra-abdominal infections and complicated urinary tract infections.

Indonesia is recognized as one of Southeast Asia's largest pharmaceutical markets, with antibiotics forming a substantial therapeutic segment due to the high prevalence of infectious diseases and the increasing concern over antimicrobial resistance. This authorization permits the company to commercialize the product in Indonesia through its existing distribution networks, thereby strengthening its presence in this strategically important market for anti-infectives.
