Vedanta Limited has received a notice from the Hon'ble Delhi High Court regarding its challenge to the Government of India's refusal to extend the Production Sharing Contract (PSC) for Block CB-OS/2. The company had previously been informed by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas on September 19, 2025, that its application for extension was not accepted. In response, Vedanta Limited filed a writ petition before the Hon'ble Delhi High Court. On January 6, 2026, the Court issued a notice to the Government of India and other respondents, requiring them to file a reply. The Court has also directed the parties to maintain the status quo concerning the contract. Vedanta Limited had previously informed the stock exchanges on September 23, 2025, about the intimation received regarding the non-acceptance of its extension application and stated that it was engaging with authorities and evaluating all available resources to resolve the matter. The company has reiterated its commitment to complying with SEBI Listing Regulations and keeping the stock exchanges informed of all material information.
