Univastu India Limited has announced a significant development following its Board of Directors meeting held on December 19, 2025. The Board has approved the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with URBAN Systems Urbs AB, Sweden. This strategic collaboration aims to jointly develop state-of-the-art data centres in Maharashtra, including hyperscale, edge, colocation, and AI/HPC facilities. The initiative aligns with the Maharashtra Data Centre Policy (MDCP) and the Government of Maharashtra's vision to promote digital infrastructure, renewable energy, and ESG-compliant development. Under the MoU, URBAN Systems Urbs AB will contribute global best-practice designs and energy-efficient architecture, while also facilitating international investments. Univastu India Limited will serve as the local project developer and EPC partner, responsible for land aggregation, obtaining statutory approvals, and overall project execution. The company anticipates that this partnership will bring technological leadership and long-term growth, sustainability, and value creation.
