United Breweries Limited (UBL), a part of the HEINEKEN Company, has announced the launch of its new product, 'Kingfisher Super Smooth Strong Premium Beer', in Karnataka. The launch is effective from January 28, 2026. This strategic innovation within the Kingfisher portfolio aims to strengthen the brand's presence in the mainstream strong beer segment. Karnataka, being one of India's largest beer markets with strong urban consumption, particularly in Bengaluru, is considered a key market for this roll-out. This follows an encouraging early consumer response to Kingfisher Smooth in Rajasthan. The new beer is developed for younger legal age drinking consumers who prefer a smoother and more approachable beer experience. It offers a balanced profile with a clean, smooth taste, brewed using imported hops and with no added sugar, while retaining the strength preferred by strong beer consumers. Vivek Gupta, Chief Executive Officer, United Breweries Limited, stated that the launch in Karnataka is a natural next step to scale the brand in an important market. Kingfisher Smooth expands the flagship brand's portfolio, reinforcing UBL's commitment to innovation and consumer centricity. Kingfisher Smooth will be available across leading retail outlets in Karnataka. The pricing is set at ₹100 for a 330 ml can, ₹120 for a 330 ml bottle, ₹155 for a 500 ml can, and ₹200 for a 650 ml bottle. UBL is India's largest beer manufacturer, offering a diverse product portfolio including brands like Kingfisher Strong, Kingfisher Premium, and Heineken.
