The order pertains to the disallowance of Input Tax Credit (ITC) amounting to ₹49,35,330 availed on vendor invoices for the financial year 2018-19, as the vendor had not paid the GST amount to the government treasury. The total amount payable as a result of this order is ₹1,01,12,080, which includes interest and penalty. The company received this order on 5th February 2026. Despite the demand, Unichem Laboratories stated that there will be no material impact on its financial, operational, or other activities. The company plans to take appropriate steps, including filing a further appeal against the order within the prescribed timelines, based on legal advice.
