UltraTech Cement Limited has announced that it has received orders from the Assistant Commissioner, State Goods and Services Tax, Trichy, Tamil Nadu. The company received two separate orders on February 2, 2026. The first order, detailed in Annexure A, confirms a tax demand of ₹10,01,910 along with interest of ₹6,83,824 and a penalty of ₹10,01,910. This pertains to alleged excess Input Tax Credit (ITC) availment in GST returns for FY 2021-22. The second order, detailed in Annexure B, confirms a tax demand of ₹93,54,488 along with interest of ₹97,52,246 and a penalty of ₹93,54,488. This relates to alleged excess ITC availment in GST returns for FY 2019-20. In both cases, the company stated that it would be contesting the demand and does not expect the said orders to have any material financial impact on the company. The total confirmed demand, including interest and penalties from both orders, amounts to approximately ₹1.10 crore.
