UltraTech Cement Limited has announced the commissioning of an additional new grinding capacity of 2.7 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) at its Aligarh unit in Uttar Pradesh. This expansion increases the total cement grinding capacity of the Aligarh unit to 4.0 mtpa and enhances the Company’s capacity in Uttar Pradesh to 13.1 mtpa. This capacity enhancement is a strategic move as part of the Company’s ongoing expansion program, aimed at strengthening its presence in high-growth markets. The expansion is expected to improve the Company’s ability to service markets more efficiently, thereby expanding market reach and optimizing logistics. Following this commissioning, UltraTech Cement’s total domestic grey cement manufacturing capacity has reached 191.36 mtpa. Including its overseas capacity of 5.4 mtpa, the Company’s global capacity now stands at 196.76 mtpa.
