Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (TRSL) has announced the receipt of a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) dated 17th December 2025 from Indian Railways for the design, manufacture, supply, testing, and commissioning of 62 Rail Borne Maintenance Vehicles (RBMV). This significant order, valued at ₹273.24 Crores (including GST), marks TRSL's entry into the safety and signalling systems segment. The RBMV is a specialized, self-propelled on-track maintenance machine designed for efficient inspection, maintenance, and restoration of railway infrastructure, integrating advanced systems for track and overhead equipment works. The scope also includes training of Indian Railways personnel and servicing and breakdown maintenance. The supply of machines is expected to commence within 15 months from the LOA date, with all machines and spares to be delivered within 48 months. This strategic move aligns with Indian Railways' focus on mechanization and modernization, expanding TRSL's capabilities beyond rolling stock manufacturing into integrated rail safety and maintenance solutions.
