Time Technoplast Limited announced the successful development and flight trials of an in-house hydrogen-powered drone integrated with a Type-III Fully Wrapped Composite Hydrogen Cylinder and Hydrogen fuel-cell system. This marks a significant technological and commercial milestone, positioning the company at the forefront of clean-energy aviation platforms. The drone completed initial performance trials and validation tests, meeting all targeted endurance, payload, and operational parameters. This is the first successful integration in India of indigenously made Composite Hydrogen Cylinders with fuel-cell-powered unmanned aerial platforms, laying a strong foundation for commercial deployment in civilian, industrial, and defense sectors. This achievement follows the company becoming the first Indian manufacturer to receive PESO approval for Type-III Hydrogen Composite Cylinders and an MoU with Drone Stark Technologies Private Limited announced on August 07, 2025. The project was executed within the committed timeline. Hydrogen-powered drones offer advantages over battery-based systems, including 3-5x longer flight endurance, rapid refuelling, higher payload capability, consistent power output, lower lifecycle costs, and zero-emission operation, making them suitable for long-range and mission-critical applications. The successful trials expand the company's addressable market within the rapidly growing global drone ecosystem, estimated at ~US$30 billion today and projected to reach ~US$70 billion by 2033. The initiative aligns with India's Green Hydrogen Mission and the 'Make-in-India, Make-for-the-World' vision.
