Tembo Classic Engineering Private Limited, a subsidiary of Tembo Global Industries Limited, has received a Defence Manufacturing Licence from the Government of Maharashtra. This licence is a significant step for the company's entry into India's defence manufacturing sector.

The licence was granted following a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at the World Economic Forum 2025 in Davos with the Government of Maharashtra. The MoU was for establishing a small arms manufacturing facility in collaboration with MIDC, Mumbai.

This new facility is expected to bolster India's 'Make in India' and 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' initiatives. It aims to generate employment, drive technological advancement, and strengthen the domestic defence industry ecosystem.

Mr. Sanjay J. Patel, Managing Director of Tembo Global Industries Ltd., expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "The receipt of the Defence Manufacturing Licence is a major milestone for Tembo Classic Engineering Private Limited and a strong validation of our capabilities and long-term vision in the defence sector.
