Tata Steel Limited has announced its provisional production and delivery volumes for the first quarter of the financial year 2027 (1QFY27). Tata Steel India reported a crude steel production of 5.82 million tons, marking an 11% year-on-year increase, primarily driven by higher output at its Jamshedpur and Kalinganagar facilities. Domestic deliveries also grew by 11% year-on-year, reaching 5.17 million tons, supported by an enriched product mix and a strong marketing franchise. The 'Automotive & Special Products' vertical achieved its best-ever first quarter volumes at approximately 0.9 million tons, with a 20% YoY increase in high-end products due to the ramp-up of Kalinganagar's Continuous Annealing and Galvanising lines. The 'Branded Products & Retail' vertical also recorded its best-ever 1Q volumes of around 1.7 million tons, with Tata Tiscon volumes growing 33% YoY and Tata Steelium showing a 41% YoY increase. The 'Industrial Products & Projects' vertical contributed approximately 1.6 million tons, with continued focus on segments like Shipbuilding, Container, and Data centers. Downstream businesses, including Tubes and Tinplate, also achieved their best-ever 1Q volumes. Gross Merchandise Value from e-commerce platforms, Tata Steel Aashiyana and DigECA, surged by 61% YoY to ₹2,200 crores. In other geographies, Tata Steel Netherlands reported liquid steel production of approximately 1.55 million tons and deliveries of 1.40 million tons in 1QFY27, with production impacted by a shutdown. Tata Steel UK is currently serving customers via downstream processing, with deliveries at 0.48 million tons, and progress is being made on the Electric Arc Furnace at Port Talbot. Tata Steel Thailand's saleable steel production and deliveries stood at 0.33 million tons for the quarter.
