Tata Steel Limited has provided an update on two material litigations concerning its Sukinda Chromite Block. The company received a demand letter on July 3, 2025, for ₹1902.73 crore concerning revised assessment of mineral dispatch shortfall for the period July 23, 2023, to July 22, 2024. In response, Tata Steel filed a Writ Petition on August 8, 2025, seeking to quash this demand. The Hon’ble High Court of Orissa granted interim protection, restraining coercive action, which was extended until December 19, 2025. A second demand letter was received on October 3, 2025, for ₹2410.90 crore, related to a similar shortfall for the period July 23, 2024, to July 22, 2025. The company filed another Writ Petition on October 29, 2025, to contest this demand. Interim protection was also granted in this case and extended until December 19, 2025. The company announced on December 23, 2025, that both writ petitions were heard on December 19, 2025. The Hon’ble High Court has further extended the interim protection for both matters until the next hearing, scheduled for January 8, 2026. This disclosure is made in compliance with SEBI regulations.
