Tata Motors Limited, formerly TML Commercial Vehicles Limited, has acquired 43,26,651 equity shares of Tata Capital Limited (TCL). This represents 0.10% of TCL's paid-up share capital and was transferred from Tata Motors Limited (now Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited) as part of a Composite Scheme of Arrangement. The Scheme, approved by the National Company Law Tribunal, Mumbai Bench on August 25, 2025, and September 10, 2025, involved the demerger of the Commercial Vehicles Business from Tata Motors Limited into TML Commercial Vehicles Limited. Effective October 1, 2025, Tata Motors Limited was renamed Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited, and TML Commercial Vehicles Limited was renamed Tata Motors Limited.
