Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Limited (TMB) has announced the appointment of Thiru. S. Balasubramanian as the Data Protection Officer of the Bank. This appointment is effective from December 26, 2025. Thiru. S. Balasubramanian brings over 26 years of extensive experience in Information Technology and Cyber Security. His expertise spans areas such as Information/Cyber Security, Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Quality Assurance, Implementation, IS/IT Governance, and IS Audit. Previously, he served for over 7 years as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at DBS Bank and for over 4 years as AGM-Information Security Services. He holds academic and professional qualifications including MBA, MCA, CAIIB, CISA, HDCA, CSTP, CPISI V4.0, and CPSP. His proficiency extends to Information/Cyber security Operations, IT Risk Management, IS Audit, Information Security Governance, Data Protection, Third-party Risk Assessment, and Digital Surface Monitoring. Additionally, he has over 2 years of experience in teaching Business Administration. This appointment is made in compliance with Regulation 30 read with Schedule III of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
