Suraj Limited announced on April 8, 2026, that it is undertaking a significant capacity expansion project. The company plans to enhance its manufacturing capability to produce pipes up to 170 mm Outside Diameter (OD). Currently, the company's existing capacity stands at approximately 5000 MT per annum and is operating at near full utilization. With the proposed addition, the total capacity will be up to 7000 MT per annum. This expansion is expected to be completed by September 2026. The investment required for this project is approximately ₹15 Crores, which will be financed through internal accruals. The rationale behind this expansion is to reduce dependence on imports by more effectively catering to domestic demand.
