Sterling Tools Limited has announced a strategic partnership with China-based MINIEYE, a company specializing in intelligent driving and in-cabin solutions. This collaboration aims to deploy Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS) in the Indian automotive market. Under this partnership, Sterling Tools will be responsible for perception tuning and on-ground industry engagement to adapt MINIEYE’s systems for Indian road conditions, traffic patterns, and specific use cases. The focus is on application engineering and system adaptation to ensure these technologies function reliably in the Indian environment, covering both commercial and passenger vehicle segments. Anish Agarwal, Director at Sterling Tools, highlighted the growing importance of road safety and regulatory compliance in India, stating that the collaboration will help address the need for driver assistance and monitoring systems engineered for Indian operating conditions. Dr. Liu Guoqing, Founder and Chairman of MINIEYE, emphasized leveraging Sterling Tools' local expertise to translate technology into production-ready applications that enhance vehicle safety. The partnership will cover systems such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning Systems (LDWS), Driver Drowsiness and Attention Warning Systems (DDAWS), and Blind Spot Monitoring. This aligns with India's upcoming mandatory regulations for ADAS and DDAWS, effective January 1, 2027. MINIEYE brings global experience in intelligent driving technologies, with solutions compliant with EU General Safety Regulation (GSR) and Automotive SPICE V4.0 CL3 certification. Sterling Tools is also expanding its portfolio in next-generation automotive technologies, including EV power electronics and motor solutions.
