Steel Exchange India Limited has announced that its flagship products, SIMHADRI TMT Fe550D and Fe500D HSCRM bars (sizes 8mm to 32mm), have been awarded the GreenPro Ecolabel Certification. This certification was granted by the CII–Green Products & Services Council following an independent assessment of the manufacturing processes at their Integrated Steel Plant in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh. The GreenPro Certification is a Type-1 eco-label that assesses products based on various sustainability parameters, including raw material efficiency, energy performance, environmental footprint, life-cycle impact, and end-of-life management. This recognition underscores the company's commitment to sustainable manufacturing practices, optimized resource management, and the production of environmentally responsible construction steel. It aligns with Steel Exchange India Limited's ongoing efforts to improve plant performance and advance its long-term Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives.
