State Bank of India (SBIN) announced the extension of tenure for its Managing Director, Shri Ashwini Kumar Tewari. The Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, has re-appointed Shri Tewari as Managing Director. His tenure will extend beyond his current term, which ends on January 27, 2026, until his superannuation on December 31, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. This re-appointment is effective from the date of his assumption of charge of the post. The notification was issued on December 16, 2025, and the bank formally disclosed this information on December 17, 2025.
