Spectrum Electrical Industries Limited has announced the acquisition of a majority stake, representing 100% of the equity capital, in Alric Electric Private Limited. The Board of Directors approved this proposal during a meeting held on February 4, 2026. The acquisition is expected to provide Spectrum with an established revenue base and customer network, potentially enhancing consolidated revenue and profitability. It will enable Spectrum to exercise control over Alric Electric's strategic and operational decisions, aligning business strategies and governance practices. The move also offers potential for forward integration, allowing greater control over branding, marketing, and distribution. Alric Electric operates in the manufacturing and trading of switchgear products, which are experiencing sustained growth due to infrastructure development and increasing electrification. This acquisition aligns with Spectrum's long-term strategy to develop scalable, technology-driven businesses and is expected to support cost optimization and operational capabilities. The cost of acquisition is capped at ₹1.25 crore, to be paid in cash. Alric Electric Private Limited, incorporated in September 2022, is engaged in manufacturing and trading of a wide range of electrical products including Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCB), Air Circuit Breakers, and EV Charging Systems. Its turnover was ₹329.99 Lakhs in FY24 and ₹5,747.45 Lakhs in FY25. The acquisition is anticipated to be completed within 30 days from the Board's approval. No governmental or regulatory approvals are required.
