Shipping Corporation of India Limited (SCI) has announced changes in its senior management personnel. Capt. Pankaj Kumar has been appointed as Deputy General Manager I/C (SVC Tec & Com and DD & RBS) effective June 2, 2026, at 10:30 AM IST. This change is due to an internal organizational restructuring. Capt. Pankaj Kumar has a distinguished career with SCI, starting as a cadet in 1995. He has served on various vessels and joined the shore office as a Senior Manager in the Fleet Personnel Department. He later moved to the Tanker Technical Department and was designated Vetting-In-Charge. He holds an Economics degree, an MBA in Operations, and has completed professional qualifying examinations by the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS). He also holds an LLB from K C Law College, Mumbai, and a Master's Degree in Maritime Affairs from WMU, where he was recognized as the best student in Shipping Management & Logistics. Currently, he serves as DGM In Charge (SVC Technical and Commercial) in the Bulk and Tanker Division and has been assigned additional charge of the Repair Bill and Dry Dock Cell. Additionally, Mr. Naveen Kumar, Deputy General Manager (Purchase & Services Division), and Mr. Udaynath Mallik, Deputy General Manager (DD-Repair Bill Cell), have ceased their positions effective June 2, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST, also due to changes in internal organizational reporting.
