This capital infusion is intended for the establishment of a greenfield high-efficiency Solar DCR cell and Solar PV module manufacturing plant in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh.

The new facility will boast a production capacity of 2.20 GW. SESL, incorporated on September 6, 2010, is expanding its business from manufacturing Solar Structures and Solar Rooftop solutions to include these advanced solar components.

For the fiscal year 2025, SESL reported a turnover of ₹216.53 crore. Its turnover for the previous two fiscal years was ₹139.59 crore (FY24) and ₹99.15 crore (FY23). This investment is not considered a related party transaction, and no government or regulatory approvals are required for this expansion. The investment will be made in consideration of equity shares and is expected to be completed on the same day of the announcement.
