Sarda Energy & Minerals Limited has reported an accident in the power plant unit of its captive power plant at Siltara, Raipur. The incident occurred on the evening of December 20, 2025, due to a leakage in a steam pipeline. Regrettably, the accident resulted in one casualty and one person being seriously injured. The leakage was swiftly brought under control, and emergency procedures were activated as designed. The exact reason for the pipeline leakage is currently under investigation. The company submitted an intimation regarding the accident on December 22, 2025. A subsequent update on December 23, 2025, explained the delay in the initial filing, citing the need for the field team to attend to the emergency and an intervening holiday on December 21, 2025. The company has requested condonation for the unintentional delay in filing.
