Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Limited has announced a change in its Chief Risk Officer position. Based on recommendations from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Risk Management Committee, the Board of Directors, through a circular resolution passed on January 13, 2026, approved this change to strengthen the company's governance framework and leadership structure.

Manoj Kumar Jha has been appointed as the new Chief Risk Officer, with the designation of Senior Vice President - Business Governance. His appointment is effective from January 14, 2026, and he will be part of the company's Senior Management. Uttam Kumar Bhageria will cease to hold the position of Chief Risk Officer from January 14, 2026, due to his multiple responsibilities within the company and its subsidiaries. He will continue in his role as Chief Financial Officer.

Manoj Kumar Jha is a Chartered Accountant with over three decades of experience in Audit, Fund Raising, Restructuring, Acquisition, Strategic Planning, Cost Management, Risk Management, Taxation, Budgeting & MIS, and Insurance. His previous roles include Chief Financial Officer at Tata Africa Holdings SA and Head of Finance at Tata International Limited.
