Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has announced the appointment of Shri Priya Ranjan as Director-in-Charge of Bokaro Steel Plant. This appointment, effective from 24th December 2025, follows his nomination by the Government of India through an order from the Ministry of Steel dated 23rd December 2025 and subsequent approval by the SAIL Board of Directors. Shri Priya Ranjan is a seasoned professional with over three decades of experience in the steel industry, primarily with SAIL. He currently serves as the Executive Director (Works) at Bokaro Steel Plant. His career includes significant roles such as Executive Director (Operations) at the Corporate Office in New Delhi, where he oversaw various aspects of technical operations, production planning, and corporate strategy. He has also held positions related to mines and logistics. Shri Ranjan holds a B.E. in Metallurgy from BIT Sindri and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management with a specialization in Finance from IMT Ghaziabad. He is affirmed not to be debarred from holding the office of Director by any SEBI order or other authority.
