Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd. (ROHL) has announced the signing of a new upscale hotel, 'Regenta Gwalior', in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. This strategic signing, located near the Gwalior Airport, marks a significant expansion for ROHL in Central India and reinforces its asset-light growth strategy through a Management Agreement. This will be Royal Orchid & Regenta Hotels' second property in Gwalior and the third in Madhya Pradesh. The hotel is planned to open in two phases. Phase I will include 71 rooms and multiple banquet venues. Phase II will add another 30 rooms, increasing the total inventory. The property is owned by Mr. Hoshiyar Singh Tomar (Oakwood Hotel Pvt. Ltd.) and is designed to cater to business travelers, transit guests, and tourists, given its proximity to the airport, industrial zones, and landmarks like Gwalior Fort. Mr. Chander K. Baljee, Chairman & Managing Director of Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd., stated that the signing aligns with their commitment to expand in high-potential markets. Mr. Hoshiyar Singh Tomar, Owner of Oakwood Hotel Pvt. Ltd., expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration to bring the Regenta experience to Gwalior. Royal Orchid & Regenta Hotels currently operates over 119 hotels across India, with brands including Regenta, Regenta Central, Regenta Resort, Regenta Place, and Regenta Inn.
