REC Limited, through its wholly-owned subsidiary REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), has announced the incorporation of a new wholly-owned subsidiary named Balsane Power Transmission Limited. This new entity, incorporated on December 18, 2025, has an authorized and paid-up capital of ₹5,00,000. The incorporation is a result of an order from the Government of Maharashtra dated October 3, 2025, which allocated an intra-state transmission project for the establishment of a 765/400/220kV AIS Balsane in the Dhule district. RECPDCL has been appointed as the Bid Process Coordinator (BPC) for selecting a bidder for this project. Balsane Power Transmission Limited will be transferred to the successful bidder once selected through the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process. This move is part of REC Limited's strategy to facilitate the development of power transmission infrastructure.
