REC Limited, through its wholly-owned subsidiary REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), has announced the incorporation of a new wholly-owned subsidiary named Apta Power Transmission Limited. This new entity, incorporated on December 24, 2025, has an authorized and paid-up capital of ₹5,00,000. The incorporation is a step towards establishing a 765/400/220kV AIS Apta transmission project in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. RECPDCL was appointed as the Bid Process Coordinator (BPC) by the Government of Maharashtra on October 3, 2025, for this project. Apta Power Transmission Limited was incorporated for the establishment of this specific transmission project. Following the selection of a successful bidder through the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) guidelines, the new company, along with its assets and liabilities, will be transferred to the successful bidder. As Apta Power Transmission Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of RECPDCL, it is considered a related party to REC Limited. The promoter, promoter group, and group companies of REC Limited do not have any interest in Apta Power Transmission Limited beyond their shareholding. The acquisition was completed through 100% subscription to the equity share capital in cash at face value.
