Radico Khaitan Limited has announced the India rollout of its globally acclaimed, triple-aged rum, 'The Kohinoor Reserve Indian Dark Rum'. This premium dark rum, matured in American Bourbon barrels, Cognac XO casks, and Vermouth casks, is now available in Uttar Pradesh and will soon be launched in Karnataka and Delhi. The company aims to tap into the growing rum category in India, with consumers increasingly seeking richer, more complex dark rum expressions. Mr. Abhishek Khaitan, Managing Director, highlighted the brand's success in international markets and expressed pleasure in introducing it to the home market. The brand's name and design are inspired by the Kohinoor diamond, symbolizing rarity and prestige. The bottle features a multi-faceted structure resembling a cut gem. Mr. Amar Sinha, Chief Operating Officer, emphasized the rum's connection to India's rum-making heritage since 1943 at the Rampur Distillery. The Kohinoor Reserve offers a layered profile with sweet-fruity aromas, native spice notes, dried fruits, and roasted nuts, with a long, smooth finish. It will be priced at ₹4,350 for a 750 ml bottle in Uttar Pradesh, ₹4,635 in Karnataka, and ₹3,750 in Delhi.
