Pritish Nandy Communications Limited (PNC) has announced a significant outcome in its commercial recovery suit filed against Saboo Films Pvt Limited and Mrs. Rita Rahul Rawail. Vide a court order dated October 31, 2025, the City Civil Court, Mumbai at Mazgaon, has directed Saboo Films Pvt Ltd (Defendant No. 1) to pay PNC the principal claim of ₹1,50,00,000. In addition to the principal amount, the court ordered interest from the date of filing the suit in 2005, amounting to ₹2,47,29,911. PNC is currently challenging this order on the grounds that the decree is solely against Defendant No. 1 and exonerates Mrs. Rita Rahul Rawal (Defendant No. 2). Through this challenge, PNC aims to seek joint and several recovery of the awarded money from both Defendant Nos. 1 and 2.
