Petronet LNG Limited has announced the appointment of two new directors to its Board, effective January 16, 2026. Shri Neeraj Mittal, IAS, Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, has been appointed as Additional Director and Chairman. Mr. Mittal, aged 58, holds a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, an MBA from Cranfield University, UK, and a Ph.D. from Ohio State University, USA. His extensive career includes roles in various administrative positions and significant contributions to the LPG Cash Transfer program and the 'Give It Up' campaign during his tenure in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. He also served as Senior Advisor to the Executive Director at the World Bank.

Ms. Avantika Singh Aulakh, IAS, Managing Director of Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Limited (GSPC), has been appointed as Additional Director (Nominee Director GMB/GoG). Ms. Aulakh, aged about 45, is a 2003 batch IAS officer with a B.E. in Instrumentation & Control Engineering from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University. She has held key administrative positions in the Government of Gujarat, including District Collector of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Bharuch, and Anand, and received awards for her service. Her experience also spans leadership roles in Gujarat Maritime Board and Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board. Both appointees are not debarred from holding directorships and have no inter-se relationship with other directors, nor do they hold any equity shares in Petronet LNG Limited. These appointments follow resolutions passed by the Board of Directors on January 16, 2026, based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
