Ola Electric Mobility Limited has announced the roll-out of its first 'शक्ति' from its state-of-the-art Gigafactory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. This marks a significant milestone in scaling up its 4680 Bharat Cell platform and signifies Ola Electric's entry into India's residential Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) market.

Developed and manufactured domestically, 'शक्ति' is powered by Ola's indigenous 4680 Bharat Cells. It represents a strategic move beyond the automotive domain, aiming to transform how energy is accessed, controlled, and consumed in India, making it a portable, on-demand resource for households, farms, and businesses.

The 'शक्ति' BESS is available in four configurations: 1kW/1.5kWh, 1kW/3kWh, 3kW/5.2kWh, and 6kW/9.1kWh. It offers automotive-grade safety, high efficiency, and zero running and maintenance costs. Key features include an instant 0 ms changeover time, a wide input voltage range of 200V - 240V, and IP67-rated, spill-proof batteries tested for various environmental conditions.
