NTPC Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has announced the Commercial Operation Date (COD) for the eighth part capacity of 69.04 MW out of the 1255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project. This project is located in Gujarat and is part of the CPSU scheme Phase-II Tranche-III. The declaration of COD is effective from 00:00 hrs of December 25, 2025. This development increases the total installed capacity of the NTPC group to 85,610 MW. Specifically, NTPC Green Energy Limited's group commercial capacity now stands at 7,927.26 MW, and with this addition, the total installed capacity of the NGEL Group will rise to 7,996.30 MW.
