NTPC Limited has announced the commissioning of the first part capacity of 300 MW out of its 500 MW Bhadla Solar PV Project in Rajasthan. This project is developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a stepdown subsidiary, through its subsidiary NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL).

The Commercial Operation Date (COD) for this 300 MW capacity is effective from January 13, 2026, as declared following the issue of commissioning certificates by SECI & RRECL on January 14, 2026.

With this addition, the total installed capacity of the NTPC group has reached 87,287 MW, and the total commercial capacity stands at 86,207 MW. Specifically, the commercial capacity of the NGEL Group has increased to 8,010.28 MW, bringing its total installed capacity to 8,310.28 MW.
