NMDC Limited has executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Colorado School of Mines, located in Golden, Colorado, USA, on December 24, 2025. This agreement establishes a framework for research collaboration in key areas including mining, mineral processing, metallurgy, and the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in mining. The collaboration aims to foster joint research, technology development, training, capacity building, and knowledge exchange through seminars, workshops, and joint projects. The MoU outlines provisions for the implementation mechanism, intellectual property sharing, duration, arbitration, and termination. Importantly, neither party has been granted special rights such as appointing directors or preferential share subscription. The agreement can be terminated by either party with a three-month written notice, and any amendments require mutual written consent. The Colorado School of Mines is not related to NMDC's promoters, promoter group, or group companies, and the MoU does not constitute a related party transaction. This initiative is expected to enhance NMDC's research capabilities and technological advancements in the mining sector.
