NLC India Limited (NLCIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat to develop large-scale renewable energy projects. The agreement, signed on January 12, 2026, during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Rajkot, outlines the development of Solar, Wind, Hybrid, and Battery Energy Storage Projects.

The MoU, which is non-binding, has an aggregate investment potential of approximately ₹25,000 crore. These projects will be developed through NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NLCIL. This initiative aligns with NLC India Limited's Corporate Plan to achieve 10 GW of Renewable Energy capacity by 2030, emphasizing the company's commitment to sustainable development and decarbonisation.
