Nibe Limited announced that its subsidiary, Nibe Defence and Aerospace Limited (NDAL), has been granted a license for the manufacturing and proof testing of firearms and ammunition by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. This license, obtained under the Arms Act, 1959, and Arms Rules, 2016, marks a significant strategic milestone for Nibe Limited, signaling its formal entry into the firearms and ammunition manufacturing sector.

The approval covers a range of products and systems, including pressure-bearing parts of firearms, 9mm pistols, machinery for manufacturing and proof testing, 5.56 X45 mm ammunition, machine guns, and rifles. NDAL is required to establish its factory premises and set up the plant and machinery within seven years from the license grant date.
