Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has announced a change in its directorship. Shri Shivendu Gupta, DDG (WPF) from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), has ceased to be a Government Nominee Director effective January 13, 2026. This cessation is due to the withdrawal of his nomination by the Department of Telecommunications.

Concurrently, Shri Sunil Kumar Ranjan, DDG (C&A) from the Department of Telecommunications, has been appointed as the new Government Nominee Director. His appointment is effective immediately and will be for a period of three years, or until his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever occurs first.
