Morepen Laboratories Limited announced that the Hon'ble High Court of Himachal Pradesh at Shimla has granted a stay on the operation of a Show Cause Notice (SCN) issued by the Office of the Commissioner, Central GST & Central Excise Commissionerate, Shimla. The company had received this SCN on December 4, 2025, and subsequently filed a writ petition challenging it.

The Hon'ble High Court, in its order dated January 6, 2026, which was received by the company on January 8, 2026, at 2:55 p.m., allowed the company's petition and granted the stay. The SCN had alleged that Morepen Laboratories erroneously claimed an excess GST refund amounting to ₹117,94,03,452/- under Section 54 of the CGST Act, 2017, read with Rule 89(4) of CGST Rules.

In view of the stay granted by the High Court, there is no immediate impact on the company's financials, operations, or other activities.
