Max Healthcare Institute Ltd. (MHIL) has announced its expansion into Pune with the development of a new 450-bed super speciality hospital. The investment for this state-of-the-art facility, located in the prime area of Yerawada, is expected to exceed ₹1000 crore. The hospital is slated for commissioning within the next three years and will represent Max Healthcare's fourth facility in Western India, reinforcing its presence in Maharashtra. This strategic move aims to bring advanced medical care closer to the growing population of Pune, a rapidly developing urban center. Mr. Abhay Soi, Chairman and Managing Director of Max Healthcare, stated that Pune's strong economic base and expanding middle-class population present a significant need for high-end super speciality services. He views this entry as a key milestone aligned with the company's long-term vision for expansion into crucial healthcare markets. The transaction involves the staggered acquisition of a 100% equity stake in Yerawada Properties Private Limited (YPPL), followed by the hospital's development over the next three years.
