The order, dated January 8, 2026, levies a demand of differential duty amounting to ₹11,91,51,910 (Rupees Eleven Crore Ninety-One Lakh Fifty-One Thousand Nine Hundred Ten only), along with applicable interest and penalty.

The company received the OIO on January 16, 2026. The demand is based on a gap in the assessable value of imported goods. The customs authority alleges a violation or contravention related to this gap.

Despite the demand, LG Electronics India Limited's management does not reasonably expect the orders to have any material impact on the company's financials, operations, or other activities. The company plans to file an appeal, expressing confidence in the merits and legal standing of its case.
