KPI Green Energy Limited (KP Group) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat for the development of renewable energy projects in the state. The agreement, signed on January 12, 2026, at Marwadi University, Rajkot, during a Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference, outlines plans for renewable energy projects with an aggregate capacity of approximately 855 MW.

These projects will include solar power projects and ISTS-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects, to be established across various locations in Gujarat, including Devbhumi Dwarka and Kutch (Bhuj). Specific projects include a 200 MW (DC) Solar Power Project under the DREBP scheme and captive user segment, a 405 MW Solar Power Project, and two ISTS-connected Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Projects each of 100 MW and 150 MW capacity (CTU).

The total proposed investment for these developments is approximately ₹4,000 crore (USD 480 million), with an estimated employment generation of over 4,000 individuals. The implementation of these projects is planned in phases and is contingent upon obtaining the necessary statutory approvals and clearances. The Government of Gujarat will facilitate KP Group in securing these approvals from relevant state authorities.

This MoU reinforces KP Group's commitment to enhancing Gujarat's renewable energy infrastructure and advancing the state's clean energy and sustainable development goals. Established in 1994, KP Group is a conglomerate with expertise in renewable energy, infrastructure, and innovation, focusing on wind, solar, hybrid energy, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), and green hydrogen.
