KNR Constructions Limited has been informed of an order passed by the Office of the Commissioner of Central Tax and Customs (Appeals) - Guntur on December 24, 2025. The order demands a total amount of ₹5,36,71,475 (Rupees Five Crore Thirty-Six Lakh Seventy-One Thousand Four Hundred and Seventy-Five). The demand includes several alleged violations: excess Input Tax Credit (ITC) taken compared to GSTR3B vs GSTR2A amounting to ₹1,94,09,608; interest on alleged delay in filing returns totaling ₹23,04,099; penalties for alleged delay in filing returns and excess claim of ITC amounting to ₹3,12,97,208; alleged ineligible ITC due to suppliers not filing GSTR3B of ₹31,786; and alleged wrong claim of normal IGST ITC taken in import amounting to ₹6,28,774. The company believes it has merits in the case and intends to file an appeal with the GSTAT. Consequently, the quantum of impact on the company's financial, operational, and other activities cannot be ascertained at this stage.
