Jyoti Structures Limited (JSL) has announced the successful completion and commissioning of the 400 kV Gadag –II Transmission Line Project in Karnataka. This project was undertaken for their client, Renew Power. The transmission line spans approximately 100 circuit kilometers (CKM) of twin High-Temperature Low-Sag (HTLS) lines, connecting the Gadag Pooling Station to the Koppal Pooling Station. The project navigated challenging Right of Way (ROW) districts, including Koppal and Gadag, and traversed difficult interior areas with black cotton soil conditions. This significant project is integral to the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) for evacuating power from renewable energy sources within the Koppal Solar Energy Zone, which has a capacity of 1500 MW. The successful commissioning of this project is expected to bolster renewable power evacuation and contribute to India's broader renewable energy objectives.
