Jyoti Structures Limited (JSL), a global Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company, has announced the appointment of Amit Dutta as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). In his new role, Amit Dutta will be responsible for overseeing operations within JSL’s EPC portfolio, with a key focus on execution discipline, operational governance, and ensuring timely and cost-efficient project delivery. He will collaborate with the leadership team to enhance operational effectiveness and synchronize project functions. Dutta brings 36 years of extensive experience in the transmission and distribution sector, including business development, tendering, project execution, and contract management with a strong emphasis on cost and time control. He has a proven track record of delivering high-voltage and extra-high-voltage transmission projects both in India and internationally. Prior to rejoining JSL, he served as Senior Vice President for over six years, leading EPC transmission projects in Africa, North, and South America, managing complex execution scenarios and stakeholder engagement. This appointment marks Amit Dutta's second tenure with Jyoti Structures, having initially joined in 1991 and held various leadership positions over nearly three decades. Jyoti Structures also recently commissioned galvanization operations at its second tower manufacturing unit in Nashik, expanding its manufacturing capacities. The company reported a strong Q3 FY2025-26 performance, indicating robust execution momentum and improved operational discipline.
