Jubilant Biosys Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jubilant Pharmova Limited, has received an order from the Joint Commissioner, Noida-Meerut, CBIC, GST Bhawan, Sector 48 Noida, Uttar Pradesh, confirming a demand for GST, penalty, and interest for the financial years 2020-21, 2021-22, and 2022-23. The order, dated December 24, 2025, and received on the same day, confirms a GST demand of ₹6.98 crore and a penalty of ₹2.72 crore, totaling ₹9.71 crore. The issue pertains to alleged discrepancies in availing GST Input Tax Credit over the three financial years. Jubilant Pharmova Limited states that the demand is legally incorrect and made on frivolous grounds, asserting that the company has a strong case on merits. The company is in the process of filing an appeal before the Commissioner (Appeals) with documentary evidence and intends to defend itself. The company also clarified that there is no material impact on its financials, operations, or other activities as a result of this order.
