The company had filed an appeal to set aside a GST demand of ₹14,37,22,192/- and a penalty of ₹28,74,44,384/-, which were imposed by the GST Authority under section 74 of the CGST Act.

The appeal was allowed by the Commissioner Appeal, resulting in the GST demand and penalty being set aside. The order was received by Jtekt India on January 14th, 2026.
